- He made his first theatrical film appearance in the 2013 Tamil-language horror-thriller film Pizza II: Villa, starring Ashok Selvan and Sanchita Shetty. However, his role went uncredited. The film also marked K. Manikandan’s debut as a writer.
- In 2015, he made his first credited film appearance by playing the role of Mani in the Tamil-language romantic comedy film India Pakistan.
- K. Manikandan brought to life the character of Santhanam in the 2017 Tamil-language neo-noir action thriller film Vikram Vedha, starring R. Madhavan, Vijay Sethupathi, Shraddha Srinath, Kathir, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.
